Important Information About Electronic Statement Delivery

CAN I STOP RECEIVNG PAPER BANK STATEMENTS?

In order to discontinue paper statements and receive them in electronic format, certain criteria must be met.  You must have a computer and internet service.  Deposit account statements are made available through Countryside Bank's online banking product. 


HOW DO I GET ONLINE BANKING?

To begin the enrollment process, visit www.countrysidebank.net and click on the “Enroll” link.  In order to use online banking, you must have a web browser that supports 128 bit encryption (Internet Explorer version 6 or newer, or Firefox version 2 or newer).  Links to download these browsers are available on our online banking sign in page.  We strongly discourage accessing online banking from any public computer such as a library or internet cafe.  In addition, we recommend that you maintain updated anti-virus and spyware protection on your home computer to minimize these threats. 


WHAT DOCUMENTS DOES THIS INCLUDE?

Currently, only deposit account statements are eligible for electronic delivery.  Correspondence methods for all other documents will remain unchanged.


ARE CHECK IMAGES INCLUDED?

At this time, our online banking product does not support check images.  If receiving imaged copies of your checks with your statement is important to you, you may not want this service.


WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS?
  1. Security - Identity theft affects 1 in 20 Americans.  Much of the information needed to steal your identity can be found in your mailbox, particularly on bank statements.  It's up to you to take the appropriate steps to minimize your exposure to that risk.
  2. Go Green! – Reducing unnecessary paper is an environmentally smart decision that helps conserve our natural resources.
  3. Speed – Your statement is available online at 9am the day it is generated.  You will be able to access it 1-3 days sooner than a mailed copy. 
WHAT IS THE COST?

There is no charge for electronic statement delivery.  If you need us to produce a paper copy of a statement you received electronically, generally there would be no charge for this.  However, we do reserve the right to charge as outlined in the common features portion of our account disclosure.  As of 6/1/07, this charge is $1 per copy. 

HOW DO I SIGN UP?

Federal regulations require you demonstrate your ability to view and keep a copy of your electronic statement before we can stop producing a paper document.  Your ability to keep a copy is as simple as printing what you see on your computer screen.  To eliminate your paper statements, you need to sign the authorization form found on our website at www.countrysidebank.net/pdfs/ESIGNenrollment.pdf and mail or bring it in to any of our locations along with a bank statement that you have printed. 


CAN I CHANGE MY MIND?

You can resume paper statements at any time by contacting a customer service representative at 417-732-4600 or by sending a secure message through the online banking platform.  There is no fee for switching back to paper.
